‘Outstanding creativity’ and ‘inspirational’ ecancer website – judges say
Brandcast, one of Europe’s leading healthcare digital agencies, has won its fifth major award in the past 12 months.
According to the award judges, it was Brandcast’s ‘inspiring’ and ‘outstandingly creative’ work on the website ecancermedicalscience.com that won the firm this prestigious award.
The Ability Medial International Media Award is run by Leonard Cheshire Disability and is designed to identify creativity that encourages a more inclusive world for disabled, chronically ill and marginalised groups of people. Covering every aspect of the arts, the winners were chosen for producing work that ‘positively represents, involves or assists people facing major physical, mental, emotional or social challenges.’
ecancermedicalscience.com impressed the judges as ‘an impressive, free to use, online social network rapid exchange platform which explains the advances in the latest approaches to cancer and patient treatment. It enables oncologists to read, listen, watch, comment on and share scientific information and news via video, text, and images and makes a major and much needed contribution to healthcare internationally.’
Brandcast Managing Director, Charlie Grieve, said he was surprised and delighted by the award from the Ability Media Creative Board and Leonard Cheshire. “This is really a team award and our team includes every cancer doctor we have interviewed about developments which will ultimately help millions of people to deal with this most feared and increasingly common disease,” he said.
“Surgeons and oncologists daily have to face the reality of caring for people; trying to save their lives or trying to enhance their quality of life. These are the people who really deserve awards,” said Charlie. “Put simply, what we strive to do is to help everyone know and recognise the potential of new discoveries and developments in the treatment of cancer and to understand that real progress is being made in this vital area of modern medicine.”
