Account management
  • to support the senior team on new business proposals by drafting proposal documentation and budgets and delegating research to Account Executives
  • to provide creative and strategic input on new business opportunities
  • to assist with business growth by suggesting potential new project work for existing and novel clients
  • to oversee the management of third-party suppliers in order to produce client-ready materials that are on-brief and on-budget
  • to review work produced by junior staff, giving them timely and fair feedback
  • to lead client calls and ensure that all meetings are set up correctly
  • to lead client f2f meetings when required, and to review and approve minutes that should be distributed promptly
  • to make sensible suggestions for approval by the senior team on resolving potential strategic, cost or deadline concerns with clients, and to subsequently brief the wider team on solutions
  • to oversee the update of status reports and send to clients
  • to proof read materials when required
  • to develop project plans, timelines and budgets for complex projects in line with client brief, for approval by the senior team
  • to brief the internal team on project tasks and advise on allocated budget
  • to motivate and empower the internal project teams to produce innovative and creative work, and to give them feedback in a timely and fair manner
  • to proactively update the client or account lead on the progress of all projects on a regular basis
  • to reconcile projects on a regular basis, ensuring that the senior team and client is warned in advance of any potential budget adjustments
  • to ensure that all projects are reconciled and invoiced accurately, and to maintain contact with the finance department regularly with budget status updates
Strategic support
  • to use therapy area and platform/creative knowledge to add value to all assigned projects
  • to apply digital, video and creative innovation throughout project process
  • to ensure the project team adhere to agency and client processes
  • to develop and apply knowledge of healthcare markets and regulations
  • to develop and apply knowledge of digital communications and campaigns, as well as video projects
Internal support
  • to oversee junior account team activities, ensuring that they carry out their internal duties and maintain a professional manner with external visitors
  • to instigate and lead internal projects e.g. marketing and process development
People management
  • to mentor the junior account team on duties and carry out training for new starters
  • to give regular feedback to assigned direct reports and arrange 121 meetings so that they can update you on project status and progress – reporting updates to the senior team
  • to develop career objectives for direct reports and to communicate progress during bi-annual reviews
  • to develop positive and trusting relationships with the internal project team, demonstrating empathy and appreciation for their role
